My role at Oyster is to make sure our Clients are matched with the right team of experts to most efficiently and effectively get the job done. As needs change, the diversified experience of our team allows for us to change with them. We are with you every step of the way!

Gena brings more than 30 years of experience in leadership, organizational alignment and client service to her business development role. Seventeen of those years have been in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Oyster, Gena was a Practice Director and member of the Leadership Team at Rubicon International. Previous to that, she served as Director, Corporate Services and Senior Manager, Corporate Support with Wachovia Securities (now Wells Fargo Advisors). She participated on merger and acquisition teams, managed vendor relationships, organized community involvement activities and oversaw the business continuity and disaster recovery programs.  Gena’s experience also includes fiscal management, process execution and management, change management, identifying service and process trends, providing workable solutions, managing conflict resolution, project management and training.

Expertise

  • Serves as Director, Business Development for Oyster Consulting
  • Develops and manages outreach around regulatory developments (e.g. Reg BI, 15c2-12 Municipal Continuing Disclosure Cooperation Initiative – MCDC, Reg SCI, etc.)
  • Developed and managed firm-wide implementation programs for Financial Advisors moving from one firm to another as well as the opening of new Branch Offices
  • Participated in merger due diligence teams and led working groups for several mergers
  • Marketed software and professional development services to clients throughout the US including oversight of the software implementation process, ongoing client service and support as well as retention
  • Managed and developed a team of consultants supporting more than 700 clients
  • Developed and implemented Executive on-boarding programs
  • Developed and delivered training programs including industry specific topics as well as soft skills
  • Created and managed mentoring/coaching programs
  • Facilitated resource assessment discussions and performance review processes utilizing competency based criteria
