Bermuda Captive Conference

Oyster Consulting (Bermuda)’s Dale Jackson and Ann Daniels are attending the Bermuda Captive Conference June 10-12, 2019. Now in its 15th year, the Bermuda Captive Conference was created in 2004 to help promote, support and grow the island’s world-leading captive insurance industry sector. The three-day conference is Bermuda’s largest and longest-running industry event, held every June, attracting more than 800 delegates, half from overseas. Attendees include captive insurance owners, risk managers, sponsors, vendors, plus legal, audit, banking and support services from Bermuda, the United States, Canada, Latin America, and the United Kingdom. Bermuda is the largest global hub of captive insurance, with nearly 700 active captive licences on its register, supporting primarily Fortune 500 corporations, and generating about $40 billion in annual gross written premiums.
Dale Jackson is a financial services executive with over 20 years of Governmental Affairs and Offshore business experience. He is a proven and results-focused leader, who served as Chief of Staff to the office of the Premier for two terms, within two administrations. Dale’s experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, offshore business solutions, establishing corporate governance codes and business development allow him to focus on cultivating existing client relationships, building new business, and navigating Oyster through the changing regulatory environment. Prior to joining Oyster Consulting, Dale was the Head of Fraud Risk at a global bank Bermuda serving individuals, institutions and corporations.
Ann Daniels is a Risk and Compliance professional with over 20 years’ experience in Regulatory Risk and Compliance in the Financial Services Industry. Utilizing her experience as a Financial Services Regulator, Ann honed her compliance and consulting roles with small and medium law firms, investment businesses, and money-service businesses, including the development, implementation and oversight of Compliance programs. Ann’s experience also includes the development and implementation of AML/CFT risk assessment policies, procedures, and training; automated monitoring systems; risk assessment methodologies; the implementation of standards and a program of oversight of compliance professionals.
