Julie Gibbs is a consultant specializing in regulatory compliance for investment companies and advisors. Prior to joining Oyster, Julie served as Managing Director of Client Services and Compliance for the Commonwealth Companies, a service company offering advisory, administration, transfer agent, accounting and distribution for mutual fund companies and private funds.   

As Managing Director, Julie oversaw the regulatory compliance of the Commonwealth Companies and the implementation of Advisor, Fund and Broker/Dealer policies and procedures.  She has participated in and directed several regulatory and compliance audits for the Funds, Advisor and Broker Dealer.  Additionally, Julie was an integral part of new fund launches and served as liaison to the Board of Directors for several fund companies and trusts.  At Commonwealth she also managed registered representative compliance, including, Firm Element, WebCrd filings, and implementation of ongoing compliance/education programs.  

Julie Gibbs graduated with Distinction from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.  She received her B.S. in Commerce, concentrating in Marketing and Management.  She resides in Richmond with her husband and two children.
