Jena Playfair has been working in the financial services industry for 2 years.  She joins Oyster Consulting as an Executive Assistant, providing management and support for one specific client, and their daily activities, as well as supporting one of Oyster’s co-founders.

Prior to joining the team, she worked in the Trust Department at M&T Bank, with a focus on operational compliance.  Specifically, she was responsible for the daily reconciliation of various trust accounts, budgeting, and occasionally auditing the trust department’s inventory. 

Outside of the financial services industry, Jena has worked in multiple capacities with the Buffalo Sabres Alumni Association, a foundation that supports charities and organizations throughout Western New York and Southern Ontario.  Jena is proud to be one of the co-founders of the rapidly growing 50/50 Fundraiser, that now raises over $1 million annually.

Graduating Cum Laude, Jena earned dual B.S. degrees in Finance and Economics from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY.  Jena was voted president of APICS, an operations and supply chain management club, in which she had the opportunity to attend an international conference in Kansas City, MO.  Jena was also a member of Beta Alpha Psi, a honorary organization for accounting and finance students.  Through this program, she was able to volunteer with VITA to help prepare tax returns for low income and elderly individuals.
