Mr. Davis joined Oyster in 2011 as an Associate Director.  Bill has been in the securities industry for over 30 years. He began his career at Wheat, First Securities in 1979.  Through numerous acquisitions and mergers, the firm evolved into Wachovia Securities, now Wells Fargo Advisors, one of the largest in the country. Bill was a Senior Vice President/Managing Director and held leadership roles in the growing organization in Mutual Funds, UIT, Securities Control, Annuities, Direct Transfers and Alternative Investments.

Bill has detailed knowledge of traditional firm business, independent rep, bank brokerage and clearing. Bill has managed over 200 associates at any given time, and has significant experience integrating firms as the result of mergers and changes in clearing firms. He has overseen the implementation of new processes, technology and off shoring efforts.

As a consultant, Bill has focused on projects that increase revenue, improve controls, achieve regulatory compliance and increase operational efficiency.

Bill attended Virginia Commonwealth University and was a member of ICI’s BDAC committee.  He completed VCU's Business Schools Executive development program.  He also completed Securities Industry Institute certificate program at The Wharton School of Business.

Bill passed the FINRA Series 6, 7 and 24 exams.
